Laura Holt is a costume designer and technician. She has experience with flat patterning, draping and creation and maintenance of production paperwork. She has a BFA in Theatrical Design and Technology at Virginia Commonwealth University. (May 2020) She designed the costumes for Machinal, which opened at VCU and won her first place at the Southeastern Theatre Conference Undergraduate Design Competition. She has worked as a first hand, stitcher, and dresser for the Charlottesville Opera. She has also designed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and See How They Run for Tibbits Summer Theatre. She recently finished a Dressing and Stitching Apprenticeship at the Santa Fe Opera. Laura is currently working for the Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago, IL.
